Guess what? I’m going to GDC! Level of excitement as surpassed my need to sleep for the moment, so I’m just going to commit to a happy dance for a while. Hopefully communication with my friend Sean Thurler continues and I can room with him for the week. Awesome times.

“Meta”-animation set update.

I’m going through my 5-part animation set for this little “Met” character as seen in a previous post. Here’s the first redraft in .mov format – run and loop in Quicktime for desired results. Also provided is a before and after shot. It still needs more work – I just need to get some feedback from my peers and colleagues before I move forward. Yay demoreeling!

PS: Also, a question for anyone who knows the answer to this: Why does Quicktime have different gamma settings and how do I compensate for it in After Effects CS4? This is really quite baffling to me.

Working on my demo reel. I’m re-rendering my animation sets of this little character below, giving it an updated pass of polish in the lighting and render quality departments.

With entering Senior Portfolio class, I’ll need to do a bit of tidying up to my site. THINGS TO DO:

Critique the design, and improve upon it. (Is it effective at communicating what I want it to?)
Figure out what work I have that needs / does not need to be in my portfolio.
Separate my professional site from my blog site (half-way there)!

Here’s some semi-non-crappy anatomy for an update. I think I may conclude this sketch here, but critiques are always welcome (tear ‘er apart!).

I believe it is now time to get draft one of the LP cover ready.
